Motorola Razr 70: What Does the Most Affordable Flip Foldable Offer?
The most affordable new-generation Motorola flip foldable offers more than its price tag suggests.
Motorola is launching a new generation of flip-foldable phones, and the Razr 70 is the most interesting pick for anyone who wants a compact phone that folds in half. It is the cheapest model in the new line-up, yet there are fewer compromises than you might expect.
Two screens, two ways to use it
Unfolded, the Razr 70 has a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a striking 3000-nit peak brightness — visibility in sunlight is a non-issue. The 3.6-inch outer AMOLED runs at 90 Hz and lets you reply to messages, control music or take photos without opening the phone. It is protected by tough Gorilla Glass Victus.
Performance and battery
Inside sits a MediaTek Dimensity 7450X (4 nm) chip with 8 GB of RAM. It is not a flagship processor, but it handles everyday tasks comfortably. Storage comes in 128 GB or 256 GB. The 4800 mAh battery charges at 30 W over a cable or 15 W wirelessly.
Cameras
The Razr 70 carries two 50 MP cameras: a main sensor (f/1.7, with optical stabilisation) and an ultrawide (122° field of view). Up front there is a 32 MP selfie camera. Video tops out at 4K and 30 frames per second.
Who is it for?
This phone is for anyone who wants a stylish, pocketable device without paying as much as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 costs. A titanium hinge, aluminium frame, IP48 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H certification point to a dependable build. Compared with its predecessor, the Motorola Razr 60, the changes are modest — a bigger battery and a brighter cover screen.
The phone runs Android 16 and will get up to three major system updates. It weighs just 188 g, with colours ranging from classic white to Sporting Green. In Europe the 256 GB version costs around 569 €. Find more models in the Motorola phones section.
