Huawei has built a watch that measures blood pressure with a real cuff, not an optical estimate — the same method a pharmacy monitor uses.
The «Huawei Watch D3» is not another fitness tracker. It is a medical device on your wrist: an inflatable cuff hidden in the strap squeezes the wrist artery and measures blood pressure with the oscillometric method, exactly like a classic upper-arm monitor. The watch launched on 2 September 2026, with a recommended European price of 449 euros.
Blood pressure around the clock
The headline feature is 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. The D3 follows the measurement intervals recommended by the European Society of Hypertension, so it can give a doctor a full daily picture instead of a single reading. It adds dedicated modes for resting blood pressure and for measuring before and after a workout. In Europe the watch carries CE-MDR medical certification.
How it differs from the predecessor
Compared with the Huawei Watch D2, the new model is noticeably slimmer — 11.3 mm instead of 13.3 mm — and 9% lighter at just 40 g. The screen has grown too: a 1.92-inch LTPO AMOLED panel at 408 × 480. The case is aluminium, the strap combines leather and HNBR rubber, and control comes from a rotating crown and a separate ECG button.
Health features
Beyond blood pressure, the D3 records an ECG, analyses arrhythmia from the pulse wave, offers a Health Glance check of up to 11 health metrics, and tracks sleep and emotional wellbeing. The battery lasts up to 6 days and charges fully in 75 minutes.
Who it is for
This watch is for people who care less about step counts and more about real health data, above all those who monitor their blood pressure. Rivals such as the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 estimate blood pressure optically and need calibration against a real monitor, while Huawei gives you an actual cuff. Colours are black, light (white with a golden dial) and Mocha Gold.
