Oppo Reno 15 Review: Is It Worth Buying?
A 50MP telephoto camera, a 6500mAh battery and IP69K protection at a mid-range price — is the Oppo Reno 15 worth a look?
The Oppo Reno 15 is a mid-range phone that puts most of its effort into the camera and the battery. Here is what makes it stand out and who it suits best.
Display and design
The Reno 15 has a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 1256 × 2760 resolution. Brightness reaches up to 1200 nits, so the screen stays readable in sunlight. The body is slim — just 7.8 mm thick and 197 g. The IP68/IP69K rating means it survives not only rain but also hot water under pressure, which is rare in this price group.
Cameras
Photography is the phone strongest area. The back holds three cameras: a 50MP main with optical stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS, and an 8MP ultrawide. On the front sits an unusual 50MP ultrawide selfie camera with autofocus, handy for group shots. A true optical zoom through a dedicated telephoto lens is uncommon in this class, so portraits and distant subjects look cleaner than on rivals.
Performance and software
Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (4 nm) chip. It is enough for everyday use, social media, video and mid-weight games. The phone runs Android 16 with the ColorOS 16 interface.
Battery
The 6500mAh battery is one of the largest in its class. The 80W SUPERVOOC charger fills it in about 50 minutes, and reverse charging lets you top up earbuds or another device.
Storage options
The Reno 15 comes with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage. There is no microSD slot, so it is worth picking the capacity with some headroom.
Who it is for
The Reno 15 is aimed at buyers who care about the camera, long battery life and a slim body, but do not want to pay flagship money. In its class it competes with the Samsung Galaxy A57 and the Nothing Phone 3a; find more models in the Oppo phones listing or across all smartphones.
In Europe the Reno 15 launched in January 2026 at around 500 € to start. Current prices are easy to compare on PriceBee:
