Poco F9 Ultra: Flagship Power for Less?
The Poco F9 Ultra packs a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 185Hz screen and a 200MP camera, yet costs hundreds of euros less than Samsung or Apple flagships. Is there a catch?
The Poco F line has always chased one goal: flagship power for a couple of hundred euros less. The F9 Ultra keeps that up. It is already on sale across the Baltics – the 256GB version starts around 733 €, and the 512GB from 904 €.
Display and design
The Poco F9 Ultra has a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen with a 185Hz refresh rate – one of the highest figures on the market. Brightness reaches 2200 nits in everyday use and up to 4500 nits for HDR content, so the screen stays readable even in bright sun. The front is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, and the body carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. At 235g, this is not a light phone.
Processor and memory
At its core sits the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, built on a 3nm process. It comes with 12 or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. That combination will not flinch at even the most demanding games on maximum settings.
Cameras
The main camera is a 200MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and optical stabilisation. It is joined by a 50MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide. The front camera is 32MP, and video records at up to 8K resolution.
Battery
The 8050mAh battery is one of the largest in this class. 100W wired charging fills it in roughly 50 minutes, while 50W wireless charging is a rare guest even in pricier models.
Who is it for?
The Poco F9 Ultra suits anyone who wants flagship power and cameras but does not want to pay 1200–1500 € for a top-end Samsung or Apple. On a tighter budget, it is worth looking at the Poco F9 Pro or last year's Poco F8 Ultra. You can browse the full range in the Poco phones section.
Price and availability
The global starting price is 829.90 € for the 256GB version. In Baltic stores, offers already start from around 733 €, so it pays to compare a few shops before buying.
